SONARI, July 22: The District Mental Health Programme (DMHP), Charaideo, conducted a mental health awareness programme at Sonari Commerce College on Monday, focusing on student well-being and early intervention in mental health issues.
The session addressed a range of concerns including exam stress, anxiety, substance abuse, and internet addiction—issues increasingly affecting young people. Experts from DMHP shared practical strategies for stress management and emotional resilience.
The programme also highlighted the availability of Tele MANAS, a government initiative providing round-the-clock teleconsultation services for mental health support.
Students were encouraged to utilise the service to seek timely assistance.
The initiative was well-received by students and faculty, reflecting the growing emphasis on mental health in academic institutions.
