TEZPUR, Jan 3: Bringing laurels to the historic city of Tezpur, Dr Angiras Bhattacharyya, a native of the town has emerged as the first neurosurgeon from Tezpur and Sonitpur district after securing a gold medal in the M.Ch. (Neurosurgery) examination.
Neurosurgery is regarded as one of the most complex and challenging disciplines in medical science, pursued by only the most meritorious students and completed after years of rigorous training and perseverance. Dr Bhattacharyya has demonstrated academic excellence at every stage of his educational journey. After completing his MBBS and MS degrees from Gauhati Medical College, he went on to obtain his M.Ch. in Neurosurgery from the same institution, culminating in this notable achievement.
Dr Angiras Bhattacharyya is the son of Mridul Bhattacharyya, a resident of Tezpur Kalibari and a retired additional chief engineer of AGCL and Ranjana Sarma, a retired chief engineer of APDCL.
His achievement at the beginning of the English New Year is expected to serve as a source of inspiration and motivation for students aspiring to excel in higher education and professional fields.
