Dr Bichitra Bikash and Gouri Prasad Sarmah receive National Employability Award

NAGAON, Sept 10: Dr Bichitra Bikash, assistant registrar (Academic), and Gouri Prasad Sarmah, assistant public
relations officer at Mahapurusha Srimanta Sankaradeva Viswavidyalaya, have been honoured with the Making India
Employability Award-2023.
These awards were presented in recognition of their outstanding contributions to education and employability during
the Making India Employability Conference and Awards Ceremony held at the Novotel India International Airport
Hotel in Mumbai on September 8. The esteemed jury panel responsible for selecting the awardees included former
vice-chancellor of SNDT University, Professor Basud Kamat, CEO IDCA Runa Balwani, executive director of
UNO Rajiv Kapoor, and renowned national writer and columnist Siddharth Pai.

The awards ceremony saw the presence of notable figures such as Professor Manpreet Singh Manna, pro vice-
chancellor of Chandigarh University; Professor Hemchandra Reddy, chairman of the Andhra Pradesh Education
Council; Runa Balwani, CEO of Deaf Cricket Association; and various other dignitaries. The event was jointly
organised by the India Education Forum and India Employees Forum, as stated in a release.
