DIPHU, Oct 27: A driver from West Karbi Anglong went missing in Bihar while on a trip on October 16. As per the missing person’s wife’s statement to the media, she said that her husband, a temporary driver at SBI, Hamren Branch, Prodip Ronghang (52) was taken to drive a vehicle to Bihar by a cashier of SBI, Hamren Branch, Rahul Singh under duress. Ronghang was unwilling to go but the SBI official insisted that he should drive the vehicle for an unofficial trip. While they are about to return, she got a call from her husband that two men are trying to attack him.
As per the missing report filed by the missing person’s son, Nayan Ronghang in Hamren police station said that the SBI cashier Rahul Singh called the family from Bihar saying that Ronghang has fallen seriously ill and has been hospitalised in a local hospital but later came to know that he is missing.
