The historic coronation, held on Sunday at Bisa Gaon in the Tirap Tribal Belt under the 83rd Margherita Constituency of Tinsukia district, was conducted in full accordance with time-honored Singpho customs.

The ceremony was jointly organized by three prominent Tai Ahom community organizations — Tirap Mouza Bhumi Suraksha Samity, Tai Ahom Yuba Parishad, Asom, and the Kolik Lai-Tai Margherita Regional Committee — marking a momentous show of cultural unity and mutual respect between the Singpho and Tai Ahom communities.

The proceedings were conducted under the dignified stewardship of Munin Borgohain, retired headmaster of Baputi Gogoi ME School. The newly appointed King was adorned in resplendent traditional Tai Ahom attire, signifying his royal ascension and spiritual connection to ancestral heritage.

Tai Ahom Yuba Parishad, Asom presented the King with a Hengdang (traditional sword), a Pha-Chit (ceremonial cloth), and a letter of appreciation.
