Excise Raid In Tinsukia District

MARGHERITA, Sept 29: The Digboi Excise circle along with co-operation from Bordumsa police on Wednesday night apprehended Debo Borah (34) from number 2 Ritu Kothalguri and Biplob Borah (40) from number 2 Naya Kuju of Buridehing mouza under Bordumsa PS of Margherita sub division of Tinsukia district.

A case of the Assam Excise Act, 2000 (as amended) was registered against the two apprehended persons at Digboi excise circle.

During the raid, items like beer (around 20.39 BL) and IMFL (13.68 BL), marked for sale in Arunachal Pradesh were seized by the excise team.

The two apprehended have been sent to judicial custody as ordered by the SDJM Court, Margherita.
