The event was inaugurated by the Cachar DC, Mridul Yadav, in the esteemed presence of additional district commissioner incharge (Social Welfare), Dr Khaleda Sultana Ahmed, assistant commissioner cum incharge District Social Welfare Officer, Anjali Kumari and other key stakeholders, alongside the dedicated staff of the DC office.

The event’s primary objective was to highlight the creativity and hard work of children from Child Care Institutions (CCIs) by showcasing their handmade crafts, artworks, and skill-based projects. It also served as a platform to encourage these children and promote skill development, empowering them to build brighter and more self-reliant futures.

In his inaugural speech, DC Mridul Yadav emphasised the importance of nurturing young talent and providing opportunities for children to shine.

“This Exhibition cum Mela is not just an event, but a movement to recognise and celebrate the potential within every child. By supporting initiatives like these, we aim to ensure that children under the care of CCIs are equipped with the skills and confidence needed to excel in life. I am deeply impressed by the creativity displayed today and extend my heartfelt congratulations to all the children and organisers for this successful effort,” said DC Yadav.
