Farewell felicitation held at Nagsankar

BISWANATH CHARIALI, Jan 18: Three retired teachers of Nagsankar High School were accorded a warm farewell bid by the School Management and Development Committee (SMDC), school authority and general public on Wednesday at Nagsankar High School premises.
In this connection, a public meeting was held with Kamal Rajbanshi, a retired teacher in the chair. Kamal Nath, chairman of the students’ union briefed the objectives. The three superannuated teachers – Baneswar Bora, Shanti Devi and Rana Bordoloi were given farewell felicitation with a gamosa, citation, cheleng, xorai, japi and a packet of books.
The meeting was addressed by Pradip Saikia, Anjan Baskota, Ballav Chapagain, Bini Gogoi Bora, Kamal Nath, Labanya Devi, Nitu Mani Neog, Nayan Mani Saikia, Hitesh Barua along with others. The outgoing teachers – Rana Bordoloi, Shanti Devi and Baneswar Bora respectively addressed the gathering and recalled the fond memories of the bygone days.
Assistant teachers – Kokheswar Das and Nayan Mani Saikia conducted the proceedings of the meeting. The meeting was attended by numerous dignitaries, guardians, parents and students of the school.
