Former BTC deputy chief Kampa Borgoyary joins UPPL 

CEM Boro accorded warm welcome to Borgoyary

KOKRAJHAR, Feb 8: Former deputy chief of BTC and BPF vice president, Kampa Borgoyary formally joined the UPPL party along with more than 400 of his supporters and well wishers at a programme held at Thaikhajhora playground in Chirang district on Saturday.

Senior BPF leader, Borgoyary, several BPF leaders including organising secretary Afjal Khan, ex BPF secretary Pranjit Basumatary accompanied Borgoyary in the grand joining ceremony in the presence of UPPL president and chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region, Pramod Boro, senior UPPL party leaders.

CEM of BTR, Pramod Boro, accorded warm welcome and felicitated Borgoyary with traditional Aronai and bouquet amidst the presence of a well attended gathering.

The joining programme was organised by the Chirang district committee of UPPL party, and graced by the founding president of UPPL, and cabinet minister, Urkhao Gwra Brahma, MPs Rwngwra Narzary, Joyanta Basumatary, deputy CEM of BTR, Gabinda Chandra Basumatary, party general secretaries Raju Kumar Narzary, Madhab Chandra Chetry, and several dignataries.

UPPL party leaders felt that the party has gained popularity amongst the citizens across the Bodoland region.

CEM Pramod Boro said that the UPPL has been gaining mass popularity as the party has been rendering relentless services towards the welfare and development of the society.

He said that the UPPL party’s strength continued to soar, while BPF’s support faded as BPF party had failed to address the problem and issues of the peoples during its 17 year rule in Bodoland Territorial Council.

Boro said that the UPPL party was committed to work for all round development of the citizens, and subsequently extended humanity services across the region since it’s inception in the region.

He stated that people in the Bodoland region has witnessed peace and tranquility, and subsequently sustainable development activities have been gaining momentum up in all sectors while building up of quality educational environment.

“I’m much delighted to welcome senior most BPF leader Shri Kampa Borgoyary into the United People’s Party Liberal at the grand joining ceremony in Chirang today. With him, thousands of block, primary & booth level BPF supporters have placed their trust in UPPL’s vision, and have joined hands with us to help build a better BTR. I welcome them all in our collective journey of peace & progress”, Boro said.

He also said that many people cutting across the communities were expressing consent to join the UPPL party in days to come.

Borgoyary, after joining the UPPL party, stated that he and his supporters and well-wishers have formally joined the UPPL party on their own willingness.
