HAFLONG, March 16: Gayatri Devidas Hyalinge, IAS (RR-2019), on Monday assumed charge as the new District Commissioner of Dima Hasao district.
Hyalinge took over the charge from outgoing District Commissioner Munindra Nath Ngatey, who has been posted as Additional Secretary to the Government of Assam in the Assam Health & Family Welfare Department.

Prior to her posting as DC of Dima Hasao, Hyalinge served as Junior Secretary to the Government of Assam in the Finance Department, Government of Assam.
Soon after assuming office at Haflong, the new Deputy Commissioner held a meeting with representatives of various political parties regarding the upcoming Assembly elections.
She also interacted briefly with media persons and later held discussions with different cell in-charges of the district administration to review preparedness for the forthcoming elections.
Speaking to the media, Hyalinge said she was optimistic about working in the district and expressed her eagerness to serve the people of the hill district.
Seeking cooperation from all sections, she expressed hope that the forthcoming elections would be conducted peacefully and smoothly, adding that she was happy to be posted in the district.
