Guwahati, April 16: Kamrup Metropolitan Election District authority has made all necessary arrangements for ensuing Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) Election to be held on 22nd April. The commissioning of EVMs to be used in election has begun on Saturday at Maniram Dewan Trade Centre, Guwahati in presence of representatives of candidates and political parties. Pallav Gopal Jha, district election officer inaugurated the process of commissioning of EVMs. The assistant returning officers also attended the programme.
On the other hand, special election observers, expenditure observers and other observers also visited the venue and took stock of preparation of the election. After completion of the commissioning process, all the EVMs will be kept in a strong room.
