GODWINS School Band shines at National ‘Music Ka Maha Yudh’

GUWAHATI, Feb 23: In a landmark achievement for the city’s young music talent, the GODWINS School Band of Guwahati secured the 2nd Runner-Up position at Music Ka Maha Yudh – War of the Bands, Season 3, a prestigious national-level inter-school competition held on February 14, 2026, at the Netaji Indoor Stadium in Kolkata.

The grand musical event witnessed participation from more than 3,000 students representing over 300 schools from 10 states across India, making it one of the country’s largest inter-school music platforms.

Competing against some of the finest young bands nationwide, the GODWINS School team delivered an electrifying, high-energy performance that impressed both judges and the audience.

The competition was further enhanced by the presence of celebrated playback singers Shaan and Kumar Sanu, whose association added prestige to the event.

For their achievement, the band members were awarded a cash prize of ₹30,000, marking a proud milestone in the school’s history.

Expressing his joy, school Principal Balaraj Sinha said he was immensely proud that the students got an opportunity to represent Assam on a national stage with passion and dedication and emerge as 2nd Runner-Up in the rock band competition.

Following their success, the band has reportedly received an invitation from T-Series to perform in Delhi on February 27.

However, school authorities indicated that participation may not be possible due to the students’ upcoming board examinations, which remain their immediate priority.
