HOJAI, Dec 29: Along with the rest of the nation, Good Governance Week 2022, ‘Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore’, the nationwide campaign was conducted in Hojai district too from December 19 to December 25.
On December 23, a district-level workshop was organised in the conference hall of the deputy commissioner’s office at Sankardevnagar in Hojai. The workshop was graced by Faizul Hussain, retired officer, Assam government as chief guest. The welcome speech and objective of the meeting was delivered by DC Simanta Kumar Das.
The chief guest Faizul Hussain gave a detailed deliberation on good governance.
The district officers of the different government departments presented the progress of various schemes implemented through their respective departments across the district. During the campaign, various citizen-centric initiatives, including redressal of public grievances, online services, disposal of service delivery applications and good governance practices were undertaken in the district in order to expand the outreach of service delivery mechanisms making them more effective as per objectives of the campaign. The meeting was attended by ADC Gokul Chandra Brahma, ADC Manasjyoti Nath and many other officials.
