Guwahati’s Chandmari Flyover to Close Nightly for Three Days for Bearing Replacement

Guwahati, Oct 10: The Public Works Roads Department (PWRD) has announced a temporary closure of the Chandmari Flyover for three nights to carry out bearing replacement work. The closure will be in effect from 10 PM to 6 AM on 13, 15, and 17 October. The affected stretch spans from the Guwahati Commerce College traffic point to the Chandmari traffic point.

Commuters are advised to use alternative routes including Rajgarh–Pub Sarania Road, MT Road–Bamunimaidam Railway Colony Road, Mathgharia–Noonmati Road, and Krishnagar–Milanpur Road. The PWRD has requested the public to plan their travel accordingly and bear with the inconvenience during the maintenance period.

The night-time schedule aims to minimise disruption during peak traffic hours, ensuring the work can be completed efficiently while maintaining road safety.
