BOKAJAN, April 21: Acting on a tip-off, the police in Karbi Anglong once again recovered a consignment of heroin and arrested two in this regard.
On Thursday morning around 10 am, a naka checking was set at Khatkhati under Khatkhati police station during which two persons on a bike were stopped. On frisking, the police recovered two soapboxes containing 27.16 gms of heroin from the possession of Md. Anamul Hussain (20), son of Lt. Sahidul Islam of Pub Bagutaguri gaon, under Juria police station in Nagaon district. The contraband was concealed in his underwear.
An accomplice Babu Ali (28), son of Lt. Samu Ali of Petel Pukhuri, under Lanka police station in Hojai district was also arrested.
