TEZPUR, June 12: “Equipped with world-class facilities, the center will play an important role in holding various meetings, seminars, etc., and will enrich the beauty and colourful heritage of the city,” CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said while inaugurating the Tezpur Convention Centre, a state-of-the-art conference center at Batamari on Saturday. The chief minister was accompanied by his fellow ministers, MP Pallab Lochan Das, MLAs and senior officials of the state government during the time of inauguration.
It needs to be mentioned that the conference centre is decorated with pictures of King Baana, Usha and several pictures of pioneers of the state. The convention can accommodate a total of 120 people and has the first digital micro-LCD in the north-east. Also, it has a dining room with a seating capacity of 200 people, two special lounges and bedrooms.
