IGP Ganjala requested the protesters to end or withdraw the indefinite hunger strike immediately. However, the agitators stated that they would continue their protest until the Chief Executive Member of the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council, Tuliram Ronghang, or the Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, personally comes to hold discussions regarding their demands.
