GUWAHATI, March 15: The official Twitter handle of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) announced that isolated thunderstorms, lightning, Squall, and hailstorms are likely to occur over the Sub-Himalayan region including Northeast India on March 15. The department also predicted that East MP, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathawada as well as over Bihar, Jharkhand, and Gangetic West Bengal will also probably receive the same on March 16 and 17 respectively.

IMD further advised the farmers to implement harvesting of matured mustard, chickpea, and vegetables in the North, West, and Central parts of India. Wheat, mustard, and pulses in Madhya Pradesh along with wheat, pulses, and grapes in Maharashtra also need to do at the earliest and reserved in a shielded place.
It may be noted that a few days back, the Central Meteorological Department (CMD) issued data stating the rainfall in Assam has decreased by 76 percent. Apart from Assam, Arunachal Pradesh has 53 percent, Manipur 99 percent, Meghalaya 99 percent, Mizoram 100 percent, Nagaland 99 percent, and Tripura 100 percent have also witnessed a decrease in rainfall.
