International Labour Day Observed At Jamugurihat

BISWANATH CHARIALI, May 1: As a part of celebration of International Labour Day, Sonitpur district chapter of National Human Rights Commission and Crime Control Bureau felicitated some people of the greater Jamugurihat area including Fakira Mahato, a rickshaw puller; Jiten Bora, an electrician, who have been rendering selfless services to the society. Along with them employees of Kanyaka Bahumukhi Krishi Pam, THB College and the employees of Jamugurihat based fire brigade were also felicitated on Sunday, stated Mrinmoy Kumar Nath, media convenor. During the felicitation programme, Sootea MLA Padma Hazarika, Pallabita Mahanta, Mayor of Jamuguri municipal board and Anjan Kalita, deputy Mayor besides others were present.
