Pami Brahma, Secretary, Women and Child Development, Govt of BTC, attended the programme as the Chief Guest.

Addressing the gathering, she said that the spirit of Women’s Day should not be confined to a single day, but must be reflected every day through respect, opportunities and equal participation for women in all spheres of life. She acknowledged the struggles and contributions of women who fought for women’s rights over the years, which have paved the way for policies and opportunities available to women today. She observed that societal conditioning and mental barriers often restrict women from aspiring to larger goals and urged women to break these limitations and pursue their dreams with confidence. She encouraged the students to remain determined in the pursuit of their aspirations and not allow societal expectations to define their ambitions. She further stated that while challenges and obstacles are inevitable in life, strong self-confidence and determination can help overcome them.

On the occasion, national and international level athletes Daisy Rabha (Wushu), Sinayti Basumatary (Taekwondo U-19) and Smriti Basumatary (Taekwondo U-19) were felicitated for their achievements.
