It Is A Historic Day, Says Tuliram Ronghang

DIPHU, May 4: The chief executive member (CEM) of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), Tuliram Ronghang has termed the day as ‘historic’ after Chief Minister laid the foundation stones for as many as 46 projects worth over ₹2,500 crore at Taralangso near Diphu on Thursday.

In his introductory speech at the programme, Ronghang said by December next the Rs. 2000 worth schemes which include flyover at Diphu and Science Planetarium at Taralangso, 200=bedded District Hospital and auditorium at Hamren; B.Ed. College at Dongkamukam; 100 bedded Bokajan Hospital etc. will be ready for inauguration by the chief minister.

Claiming that peace prevailed in the two districts, Ronghang said that after the signing of MoS by six armed militants more peace and development has taken place. “People of various tribes and communities are living peacefully,” the CEM said.

Ministers Ajanta Neog, Jayanta Mallabaruah, Jogen Mohan, Political Secretary to Chief minister Pabitra Margherita, Member of Parliament Horen Sing Bey, Chief Executive of KAAC Tuliram Ronghang, Deputy Speaker, Assam legislative Assembly Numal Momin, among others, accompanied the Chief minister on Thursday.
