BISWANATH CHARIALI, March 10: Jai Bharat Party (JBP) organised a huge public meeting at the playground of Mijikajan Tea Estate in association with Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) on Tuesday, which was attended by Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren. The Chief Minister of Jharkhand arrived to address a public-cum-awareness meeting at Mijikajan Tea Estate as per the invitation of Jai Bharat Party (JBP), a newly constituted political party in the state.
Addressing the gathering, Teharu Gour, the president of the Jai Bharat Party, said that an alliance between JMM and JBP will be formed shortly and the alliance will field candidates in forty assembly seats.
The visit of the Jharkhand Chief Minister just ahead of the state assembly election, which is expected to be held before Bihu is likely to reshape the chemistry of the opposition. The entry of the Jharkhand Chief Minister into the political scenario of the state is expected to create tension among political parties in the state. Addressing the public gathering, CM Soren said that his party will gradually enter the political scenario of Assam. This time, more than 40 candidates will contest from various LACs of Assam in the upcoming state election.
Addressing the media, Jharkhand CM Soren said that his party will gradually enter the active political scenario of Assam. Responding to a question about Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma’s Jana Ashirwad Yatra, the Jharkhand CM said that Dr Sarma will follow his own style of campaign, which he will not bother about. He said, “I will look at things from my own perspective and make decisions accordingly.”
Notably, Teharu Gour, the president of the Jai Bharat Party, will be the candidate of the JBP and JMM alliance this time from Biswanath LAC. The public meeting was attended by office bearers of Jai Bharat Party, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, tea tribe leaders, among others.
