JORHAT, April 17: Anjana Kumari, a class 5 student of Kendriya Vidyalaya Air Force Station, Jorhat has made it into the semi finals of All India Rural Dance Championship to be held at Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh on May 27.
She auditioned on April 11 in which Deepika Soni of Mumbai was the judge. From Mariani where the first audition performance was held, 24 have been selected for the semi finals to be held at Bhopal.
The grand finale is scheduled on May 28 and the judges will be Remo D’souza and host Paritosh Tripathi.
The auditions are currently running in different areas of India.
Anjana’s father Suraj Prasad and mother Devika Prasad are residents of Sonali Jayanti Nagar here.
Suraj Prasad said that his daughter had performed a hip hop dance and was learning dancing at the Rhythm Dance Academy, Tarajan.
