KAAC 71st Foundation Day: Awards Bestowed On Several Personalities

DIPHU, June 23: The Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) during the 71st foundation day celebration held at Sarsing Teron (Langkung Habe) Memorial Town Hall here, KAAC awarded several persons for their achievements and contributions in various fields.

Kharsing Terang Award, 2022 was given to Sarsing Tokbi for his contribution to social work and folk culture, Sarsing Teron (Langkung Habe) Award, 2022 was conferred upon Roy Enghi for his contribution towards socio-political and cultural activities and Semson Sing Ingti Award, 2022 was handed over to Dr Dharamsing Teron for his contribution in the field of literature and research.

The KAAC Best Employee Award for Grade – III was given to Darasing Rongpi, Senior Administrative Assistant and the Best Employee Award for Grade-IV was given to Kangbura Ronghang, Office Peon, Nazarat.

KAAC Sports Award was conferred upon Sangmir Teronpi, while KAAC Best Health Worker Award was given to Tado Engtipi, ANM for her contribution in health services in Diphu Urban Health Centre and KAAC Best Public Engineer Employee Award was given to Bidyasing Terang, Sectional Assistant in the field of water supply and sanitation.

The KAAC Best Farmer’s Award was conferred on Khoyasing Timung in the field of Agriculture (Horticulture).

The KAAC also awarded the meritorious students in Karbi Anglong who secured high marks in the last HSLC examination.

Krishnalina Kalita of Sankardev Vidya Niketan, Howraghat who secured distinction marks, Clar-et Ronghang of Diphu Don Bosco HS School and Memento Nath of Covenant High School, Diphu who secured distinction marks, Munmi Borpatra Gohain of Don Bosco School, Diphu who secured the third highest distinction marks, Anamika Chetri of Hawaipur Baptist English High School and all Assam third rank holder Mridupawan Kalita from Kheroni Don Bosco High School were awarded for their achievement.
