Karbi Anglong Inspector of School reschedules dates to March, 2023

DIPHU, Feb 14: Following leakage of question papers of General Mathematics, Social Science, Advance Mathematics, etc. (Elective) and General Science subjects for Class-IX annual examination-2023, the Inspector of Schools, Karbi Anglong District Circle, has rescheduled the dates  to March, 2023. The exam is conducted by the District Level Internal Examination Committee (DLIEC).

Reportedly, the question papers set by DLIEC were leaked on social media. The Mathematics subject on February 13 Monday has been postponed due to the question paper leak.

In a notification issued by the Inspector of Schools, Karbi Anglong District Circle said that “in view of the leakage and posting of question papers of General Mathematics, Social Science, Advance Mathematics, etc. (Elective) and General Science subjects for Class-IX annual examination-2023 on different social media platforms, it is hereby notified to all schools and students under the purview of the  Inspector of Schools, Karbi Anglong District Circle, Diphu that the annual examination 2023 which are supposed to be held on 13th February, 14th February, 2023, 15th February, 203 and 16th February, 2023 respectively are hereby postponed and will be rescheduled in the month of March, 2023.”

Additional SP, Kongkon Jyoti Nath said that as per complaint made by Horeshor Borah on February 12 last regarding the leakage of question papers and accordingly the police carried out investigation and picked up three persons. The owner of the printer, where the question paper was scanned was brought to the police station.

The name of the school from where the question paper was leaked has not been disclosed as further investigation is needed, said Nath  adding, “However, two teachers have been picked up.”
