Karbi Anglong to observe national entrepreneurship month from Oct 19

DIPHU, Oct 13: Karbi Anglong is set to observe the Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education (MGNCRE) – National Entrepreneurship month from October 19 to November 20. The events will be conducted by the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India.

In this regard, a letter seeking consent was sent to the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) executive member for higher education, Richard Tokbi. The EM released the posters submitted for the poster competition on MGNCRE on Entrepreneurship at his KAAC chamber.

Releasing the posters, EM Tokbi said, “At first, I thanked MGNCRE’s Chairman Dr WG Prasanna Kumar for sending the consent letter to KAAC to release the posters on National Entrepreneurship month from October 19 to 20 November 2022 based on skill development for the students of higher education. It is a part of the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India. Skill development is a part of education, where the students can go with the momentum of education and will be able to learn food processing, weaving and many more. The initiative taken by the government is highly appreciated.”

During the observation the higher education institutions of every district are directed to promote vocational education, skilling and entrepreneurship by forming and following up on institutional social entrepreneurship, sustainability and rural engagement cell in social work, vocational educational and others.
