‘Kasiyali’ Released At KRD College Of Education

GUWAHATI, April 12: Kasiyali, an annual journal of Krishna Ram Das College of Education, Chhaygaon was released on Monday in an auspicious programme held at the college premises. At the onset of the programme, a chorus was sung by the college trainee students. After the inaugural speech by the college principal Dr Abhijit Dev Adhikary, a felicitation programme was held where head teachers of different schools of the region were felicitated. Later, prominent actor, director of the state Himangshu Prasad Das and Pranami Bharati were felicitated by the institution for their outstanding contributions to film and theatre. At the programme, the annual journal ‘Kasiyali’ was released by actor & director Himangshu Prasad Das and Saroj Sonowal, circle officer, Chhaygaon Revenue Circle. In the programme, various dignitaries like Pradip Phukan, official of College Development Council Gauhati University, Baneswar Das, president GB, novelist Junmoni Das, journalist Gagan Kalita, Professor Karim Ali, artist Lohit Rajbongshi, Barnali Goswami, Chinmoy Kalita and many more graced the occasion with their presence. The programme was hosted by trainee students Banjit Kalita and Manjit Sarma.
