DONGKAMUKAM, April 13: The chief executive member (CEM), Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), Tuliram Ronghang inaugurated the operation theatre of Kheroni Model Hospital, Kheroni in West Karbi Anglong on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, the CEM said it is a historic day for the people of West Karbi Anglong as Model Hospital, Kheroni has been provided with advanced medical equipment.
“People of West Karbi Anglong have to take sick persons to Hojai or Guwahati for better treatment, but now treatment for major cases can be done here. It is a dream come true for the people of West Karbi Anglong,” CEM Ronghang said here.
The CEM also said that similar model hospitals will be constructed at Jerikending and Umpanai. He asked doctors, nurses and other health workers to treat patients with kindness.
15 numbers of ambulances will be distributed on the KAAC foundation day June 23, the CEM announced.
The authority of Kheroni Model Hospital has demanded for construction of staff quarters, approach road with paver blocks from PWD road to hospital, to provide ambulance, godown for storing medicine and Asha workers’ room.
The programme was also attended by MP Horensing Bey; MLA Bidhyasing Engleng; KAAC deputy speaker Ajit Dey and executive members (EMs), KAAC.
