Kokrajhar All Set To Conduct Sprint Campaign For Saturation Drive Of KCC

KOKRAJHAR, April 24: Along with other parts of the country, Kokrajhar district administration is also all set to conduct the sprint campaign of Kishan Credit Card (KCC) saturation drive under Kisan Bhagidari Prathmikta Hamari (KBPH) from April 24 to May 1 across the district.

In this connection, at a press conference held on Saturday here in the conference hall of the deputy commissioner’s office, Kokrajhar deputy commissioner Varnali Deka said, “The sprint campaign of Kisan Credit Card (KCC) saturation drive under Kisan Bhagidari Prathmikta Hamari (KBPH) will be held from April 24 to May 1, 2022 in Kokrajhar district. In this regard, we had a meeting with all the departments, circle officers, agriculture officers, bankers so that from tomorrow, we can start the saturation drive throughout Kokrajhar district in a mission mode.” She said that the campaign of KCC saturation drive under KBPH launched by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare of Government of India with an aim to saturate all PM-KISAN beneficiaries with KCC would be kick started from May 24 through the special gram sabha in all Village Council Development Committees (VCDC) in the district with the address of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Regarding this, she also informed that she had already instructed Block Development Officers (BDO) to organise Special Gram Sabha in all VCDCs under their jurisdiction on April 24 at 11 am, along with the circle officers and bankers of respective areas to facilitate the beneficiaries.

She further informed that during that campaign period, maximum PM Kisan beneficiaries would be enrolled under all types of KCC like crop, animal husbandry, dairy and fisheries, including various social security schemes of the Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) and called upon all the eligible farmers of Kokrajhar district to come forward and apply for issuance of KCC at the same bank where from they are drawing PM-KISAN benefits.

Appraising about the steps so far being taken from the district administration for wide publicity of the campaign, she said SMS in local languages are being sent to the mobile numbers seeded to the PM-KISAN beneficiaries to attend the Gram Sabha for availing the benefits of KCC. She also requested the media persons to give sufficient publicity of the campaign so that all the beneficiaries of the district get benefited.

Earlier, in the meeting held with the additional deputy commissioners, circle officers, heads of department concerned and bankers of the district, deputy commissioner Varnali Deka asked all to do their assigned duties for successful implementation of the programme in the district.

As per the KCC data in respect of Kokrajhar district, so far the district has completed 43,535 saturation with an aim to complete 100 percent saturation in the district.
