DIPHU, April 17: Leaders and members of Karbi Students Association (KSA- Thangsing Timung) mourned the demise of their assistant general secretary of the Central Executive Committee (CEC) Biswajit Teron. Teron died of cardiac arrest at around 2 pm on Sunday. He was around 44 years old. Late Teron is son of late Katiram Teron of Chaibukh, Jamunamukh.
KSA president, Thangsing Timung said that Biswajit complained of breathing problem and was immediately taken to Diphu Medical College & Hospital at around 2 pm. In DMC&H he was declared dead.
The body of late Teron is kept at his residence Serlongjon, Diphu. As a mark of respect the KSA flag at the Central Executive Committee (CEC) office at Rongthe-ang, here is flown at half mast. Present and former KSA leaders and members, political leaders and well-wishers paid their last respect to late Teron at his residence.
The KSA president said late Teron joined the KSA in 2000 and was an active worker. He had served the organisations in various capacities and was elected for various posts. When died he was serving as assistant general secretary at CEC). Apart from KSA activities, Teron was one of those active in the Autonomous State movement and has participated in several dharnas held at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi organised by KANCHASDCOM and its allies. His whole life is dedicated to the KSA and Autonomous State movement, Timung said.
The last rites will be performed on Tuesday and before that his body will be brought to KSA CEC office and to be taken to Serlongjon public cremation ground.
