Leopard Attacks Labourers In Assam

DEMOW, April 16: A leopard attacked two labourers in Khongia Tea Estate 12 No Branch near Demow on Friday. The injured labourers were Manglu Tanti and Pushpa Chauhan. According to sources, Manglu Tanti and Pushpa Chauhan were plucking tea leaves in the garden when suddenly the leopard attacked both of them. There were allegations that the concerned labourers informed the authorities of the tea estate earlier but the authorities of the tea estate and Forest department did not pay any heed, due to which the incident took place. The injured labourers were taken to Demow Model Hospital and after doing primary treatment in Demow Model Hospital, the injured labourers were sent to Joysagar Civil Hospital for better treatment.
