NAGAON, Oct 31: Union minister for law and justice Kiren Rijiju visited Nagaon on Monday.

During his trip to the district, the minister also visited the site of Nagaon Medical College Hospital at Mohkhuli, on the outskirts of the town and reviewed the ongoing construction work of the college building.

While speaking to media persons here, the minister claimed that Assam recorded drastic changes in the health sector during the tenure of the BJP-led government.

He said that earlier it took over 20-30 years to set up a medical college hospital in the state. “But during the rule of the BJP-led alliance government, it was viable only within five years,” the minister accorded further.
