Massive fire ravages ten rented houses in Margherita

MARGHERITA, Nov 2: A significant fire broke out on Thursday morning, devastating ten rented houses owned by Md Zakir Ali Khan in the residential area of Margherita. The incident occurred near the A’R & T Company veneer mill in Margherita.

While the exact cause of the fire is yet to be confirmed, locals speculate that a short circuit or a possible burst from an LPG cylinder might have triggered the devastating blaze.

Upon the outbreak of the fire, the fire department promptly dispatched fire tenders to the scene. Despite their efforts to extinguish the flames, all ten rented houses were consumed by the fire, reduced to ashes.

The incident has elicited a sense of urgency and concern throughout the Margherita area. Both Margherita police, the Margherita sub-divisional administration (civil), and the Margherita Municipal Board swiftly responded to the scene, assessing the impact and taking stock of the tragic event.
