Haflong 15 Oct: As part of the Assam Government’s Sevaai Samarpan initiative, a mega health camp titled “Sushrusha Setu” is being held at N.L Daulagupu sport complex, Haflong in Dima Hasao district on Wednesday.
Over 890 identified patients and their guardians have been provided with dedicated transport facilities on the day and more walk in patient have surge taking the toll to over 1200 patients.
Though the health camp is free for all categories, only patients below 18 years of age will get free refferal service out of the district.
A panel of specialist doctors from outside the district, including cardiologists, nephrologists, oncologists, neurologists, and other experts were impart in the camp for high-quality consultations and referrals.
Assam minister Nandita Gorlosa said that for advanced care, patients under 18 years of age will be referred to appropriate hospitals out of the district for further treatment. She informed that all the process will be completed in few days.
Considering surging of patients from the district North Cachar Hill Autonomous Council CEM Debolal Gorlosa said that they may extend the health camp by seeking permission from the Assam CM Dr. Himanta Biswa Sharma.
