Minister Mahanta visits Kokrajhar medical college construction site

KOKRAJHAR, July 28: Assam minister for Health & Family Welfare department Keshav Mahanta visited the construction site of Kokrajhar Medical College & Hospital at Beswargaon in Kokrajhar.
Mahanta visited the medical college construction site and was accompanied by Bodoland Territorial Region executive member Arup Kumar Dey, Kokrajhar deputy commissioner Varnali Deka and senior officials from the Health & Family welfare department.

Minister Mahanta inspected all the corners of the medical college construction site and took stock about the ongoing construction works of the medical college.

The minister also held a review meeting with senior officials of the health & family welfare department, district administration and took progress reports on the construction related works.
He has asked the concerned authorities to speed up the construction works, and instructed them to complete the works by 2023 next as the state government and health department has been stepping in to inaugurate the medical college in 2023.

He has informed that he himself personally has been monitoring the construction works and accordingly necessary strategies have been initiated for the smooth completion of the medical college.

He informed that several medical colleges including Kokrajhar, Nagaon are getting inaugurated on the same schedule within the 2023 next in the services of the citizens.
