DONGKAMUKAM, May 18: Deputy Speaker of Assam Legislative Assembly and MLA of Bokajan Dr Numal Momin toured the flood-affected areas of West Karbi Anglong, particularly Bithung Rengthama and Rongkhang Member of Autonomous Council Constituencies.
While speaking to the media he assured that the government will provide all possible help to the affected people. He directed the district administration to note down the needs so that not a single family is left out.
Momin pointed out that sanitation is of great importance for flood-affected villagers.
The affected demanded fodder for their livestock. Meanwhile, rice, dal, oil, etc., were distributed in some pockets under Bithung Rengthama and Rongkhang Constituencies.
Till Wednesday evening, the flood water was seen receding.
Bokajan MLA was accompanied by DC of West Karbi Anglong, Krishna Barua, SP of West Karbi Anglong, Md Imdadul and others.
