MP Bey Appeals BJP Workers To Strengthen Party

DONGKAMUKAM, April 22: The MP of Diphu, Horensing Bey appealed to the party workers to work on strengthening the party. Attending as the chief guest at the joint extended meeting of the BJP at Doloni, West Karbi Anglong, he urged the party workers to focus on the coming election to the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council.

The MP asked the booth committee leaders of the BJP to gather 8,000 participants from Rongkhang for the coming Prime Minister’s visit to Loringthepi in Karbi Anglong on April 28.

He said, “The program at Loringthepi is not a political one but the program is a Government one, where people from different political parties, Government employees, students and also people from Nagaon, Hojai and other districts etc will come. I’m hopeful that many surprises and historic package will be poured for the district at Loringthepi.”

Stressing on the coming Member of Autonomous Council (MAC) election to KAAC he instructed the Mandal and Booth Committee leaders to remain in touch with grassroots workers in order to win the election in all 31 polling stations under Rongkhang MAC constituency.

He reminded the BJP workers that in the last assembly election the BJP failed to win in 11 of the 31 polling stations. He regretted that a few of the booth committee leaders were absent from the meeting. However, he was optimistic as thousands of the Opposition workers have now joined the BJP.

President of Rongkhang Mandal Committee, BJP, Bimol Timung, president of BJP, West Karbi Anglong District Committee, Radip Ronghang, chairman of Karbi Customary Reform Board, Joy Ch Bey and others were present at the meeting.

Earlier, MP inaugurated a Market Shed at Doloni Teron village Tiniali build under MP LAD fund, 18-19 (Phase-2).
