HOJAI, March 1: As per the direction of the Assam State Legal Services Authority (ASLSA), District Legal Services Authority,Hojai is going to organise National Lok Adalat at Srimanta Sankardev Nagar in Hojai district on Saturday.
This was informed by Merileen Hazarika, secretary, District Legal Service Authority,Hojai on Saturday.

Hazarika said MACT, matrimonial, cheque bounce cases under NI Act, MV cases, money recovery suits, labour disputes, PUS matters, criminal compoundable cases & other civil cases etc., will be taken in National Lok Adalat.
She said as per the instructions received from Assam State Legal Services Authority, Ghy, Assam pre Lok Adalat sittings or pre-counselling sessions (either through video or tele-conferencing or physical with social distancing) may be conducted before the date of National Lok Adalat so that the parties may get one or more chances for negotiation/dialogue with the opposite parties.
Notably, DLSA, Hojai has instructed the different banks (via Lead District Bank Manager), APDCL branches, BSNL, insurance companies to take up Lok Adalat sittings or pre- counselling sessions. District Legal Services Authority, Hojai has further appealed the denizens of Hojai district to fully co-operate in the National Lok Adalat.
