National Press Day : Journalists Awarded For Their Service

 DIPHU, Nov 16: National Press Day was observed by Diphu Press Club (DPC) here in Karbi Anglong at Joysing Doloi Auditorium on Wednesday.

In the morning the flag of the press club was unfurled by president of DPC Borsing Rongphar who is also the editor of vernacular Karbi daily Solangdo.

Later in the day, a meeting was held on the occasion in which journalists working for various media houses were awarded including TP Hanse, editor of Arleng Daily for bringing out the first Karbi daily in Karbi Anglong; Mukesh Chauhan of Diphu Voice, Humson Hanse of Diphu Voice, Lovson Terang of Karbi Anglong Today, Longsodar Ingti Kathar of Karbi Anglong Live, Ganeshwar Timung of Kido Live, Surajit Shetty of Kido Live, Babusing Kramsa of Newsfast, etc.

The occasion was attended by the chief executive member (CEM) of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), Tuliram Ronghang; MP Horen Sing Bey; Member of Autonomous Council, Prabhat Taro; Executive members of KAAC, D Uphing Maslai, Surya Rongphar and Lunsing Teron among others.

Press Club of Karbi Anglong observed the day at Taralangso here which was presided over by the president of the Press Club, Diganta Teron and attended by DC Madhumita Bhagwati; CEM of KAAC, Tuliram Ronghang, MP Horensing Bey among other dignitaries.
