Dhemaji, 12 Oct: A special organizational meeting was held at the auditorium of the Dakshin-Pub Cultural Project located in Silapathar under the Jonai constituency. The meeting was presided over by the State President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Dilip Saikia.
During the meeting, Saikia provided several important suggestions to the party workers regarding organizational matters and urged them to focus on strengthening the party’s organizational structure further.

Later, while speaking to the media, BJP State President Dilip Saikia made several significant remarks in connection with the upcoming 2026 Assam Assembly Elections. He stated,
“If the BJP government is not formed in Assam in the upcoming 2026 elections, the state will suffer a disastrous loss. The planned direction and vision of the BJP are what have been leading the state forward.”
Saikia also commented on the issue of justice for popular singer and heartthrob Zubeen Garg. He said,
“The BJP government has already taken all necessary steps to ensure justice in the case of Zubeen Garg’s death. A person allegedly involved in the case has been arrested, and the BJP government has left no stone unturned in its efforts to deliver justice.”
He further stated that the demand for granting tribal status to six communities of Assam is also being handled with full awareness by the government. The ministerial committee is working on the matter, and its report will be submitted to the Central Government on November 25. The government’s objective is to ensure fair rights and justice for all communities.
Addressing the gathering, Saikia boosted the morale of the party workers and clarified the party’s future goals. Reaffirming his confidence, he said,
“In the upcoming 2026 elections, the Dhemaji, Sissiborgaon, and Jonai Assembly constituencies are certain to come under the BJP’s fold. The people will choose the politics of development, and new enthusiasm has been created among BJP workers.”
The meeting was attended by National Secretary Kamakhya Prasad Tasa, Education Minister Dr. Ranoj Pegu, MP Pradan Baruah, MLA Bhuban Pegu, State General Secretary Anup Barman, District President Rupa Kaman, District In-charge Bhaban Sharma, Co-in-charge Ghanshyam Daley, along with over two thousand party leaders and workers.
