SIVASAGAR, May 27: Meritorious students were felicitated at New Look Academy, Sivasagar, in recognition of the first batch’s outstanding performance in the HSSLC Examinations 2024, where they achieved a 100 percent pass rate. The event took place on Saturday in the presence of academicians Dr Arundhati Mahanta and Dr Ranjan Phukan.
Srimanta Borthakur, the principal of the academy, delivered the welcome speech and encouraged students to strive harder to bring honour to the state and the country. Dr Mahanta, in her address, remarked that the school’s name has instilled hope among students and parents alike. Dr Ranjan Phukan expressed that the success of the first batch indicates a promising future for the institution.
Sanjukta Chetia from the arts stream scored 93.2 percent, while Priyanuj Bordoloi from the science stream scored 92 percent. Vice principal Sahlina Haque spoke to the students about dedication and determination, emphasising their importance in achieving success.
