NFR revises timings of over 80 train services

GUWAHATI, May 10: Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has undertaken a major revision of train timings for several additional Mail/Express, Passenger, DMU and long-distance trains across its network with effect from April 30, 2026.

The revised timings have been introduced for over 80 train services as part of ongoing efforts to improve punctuality, streamline train operations and provide greater convenience to passengers travelling across Assam, other Northeastern states, adjoining regions and beyond. The changes cover a large number of important trains operating to and from the NFR zone.

Among the prominent trains for which timings have been revised are the 12087/12088 Naharlagun-Guwahati Shatabdi Express, 20501/20502 Anand Vihar-Agartala Tejas Rajdhani Express, 12423/12424 Dibrugarh-New Delhi Rajdhani Express, 15641/15642 Silchar-New Tinsukia Express, 15669/15670 Guwahati-Dibrugarh Express and 15675/15676 Guwahati-NJP Intercity Express.

Revised timings have also been implemented at important stations including Guwahati, Kamakhya, Lumding, New Haflong, Badarpur, Dibrugarh, New Tinsukia, Rangiya, Silchar and Agartala.

Several Passenger and DMU services in Assam and Tripura have also been rescheduled to ensure better connectivity and smoother train movement across different sections of the zone.

The revised schedules are expected to reduce operational delays, improve sectional running time management and ensure better punctuality for passengers travelling on both short- and long-distance services. The changes are also aimed at maintaining improved connectivity at major junctions and terminals while enhancing the overall efficiency of train operations under Northeast Frontier Railway.

Passengers have been advised to verify the revised timings before commencing their journey through NTES, PRS enquiry systems or the nearest railway stations.
