KOKRAJHAR, May 24: Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) chief executive member Pramod Boro ceremonially inaugurated the newly constructed office building of Nativer’s Institute of Bodology (NIB) at Sudempuri in Kokrajhar on Monday in the august presence of scholars, writers and senior citizens.
Notably, the office building of NIB was constructed under the financial assistance from welfare for plain tribes (WPT) department of BTR government.
The NIB is a platform for research of Bodo language and literature.
Boro has lauded the office bearers of the NIB for the initiative to bring healthy welfare and development of the Bodo language and literature.
He said that the BTR government has been working towards the uplift and development of the region since its inception.
Among others, retired principal of Kokrajhar Government College and Sahitya Akademi award winner, Dr Surath Narzary; retired principal of Kokrajhar Government College Dr Binoy Kumar Brahma; UN Academy Kokrajhar director Krishna Gopal Basumatary were prominent attendees on the occasion.
