NTPC Bongaigaon team wins Regional Professional Circle Award

KOKRAJHAR, Feb 16: The NTPC Bongaigaon station at Salakati has won the Regional Professional Circle Award (ER-II) for its digital innovation project titled “SAHAYOGEE – Synchronising the Site Digitally.”

The award was presented by NTPC Regional Executive Director (ER-II and SR) Arindam Sinha in the presence of senior officials of the region.

The award-winning project was developed and presented by Uddipan Pal, Senior Manager (TMD), and Satyam Boral, Assistant Manager (BMD).

The initiative focuses on strengthening digital integration, accountability and operational efficiency through a user-friendly mobile application.

The SAHAYOGEE platform aims to digitise key site-level activities, including material tracking, equipment history, safety documentation, monitoring of non-moving inventory, inter-departmental material movement, vehicle requisition and consumable usage.

Officials said the system enhances transparency, efficiency and knowledge management at the station.

With this achievement, the project team will now represent NTPC Bongaigaon at the Corporate-Level Professional Circle Meet, where it will compete at the organisation’s highest innovation platform.

NTPC officials said the recognition reflects the station’s continued emphasis on innovation, digital transformation and operational excellence, while encouraging employees to contribute ideas that strengthen systems and processes.

The Professional Circle initiative of NTPC is designed to promote innovation, problem-solving, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement across departments and stations.
