NAGAON, May 31: The forest officials from Nagaon forest division as well as Dakshin Nagaon forest division, Hojai welcomed the new principal chief conservator and head of forest forces Mahendra Kumar Yadav and also expected as both the divisions will achieve a new dimension under his leadership.
It is pertinent to be mentioned here that due to retirement of Dr Amit Sahai, PCCF and head of forest forces on May 31, 2022, the state government has appointed Mahendra Kumar Yadav, PCCF (Wildlife) in his place as new PCCF and head of forest forces.
While speaking to this correspondent over phone here, DFO Ganadeep Das said that Mahendra Kumar Yadav (IFS) played an important role in the eviction drives in the encroachment portions of Lumding reserve forest and also spearheaded the forest officials as well as other forest forces during the drive after camping at the reserve forest itself for over week.
He said that the department will get more mobilisation under his guidance and grip as the officials of the department concerned experienced all about it during the days of eviction in Lumding reserve forest.
