Parent dies at school premises in Jorhat

JORHAT, Jan 17: A tragic incident occurred at the premises of Shemford Futuristic School in Jorhat on Saturday when a parent who had come to attend the declaration of his ward’s results suddenly fell seriously ill and later died.

The deceased was identified as Dipankar Bordoloi (37), a resident of Kachagaral village in Jorhat.

According to sources, Bordoloi experienced severe health complications while on the school campus. Teachers and parents present immediately tried to assist him, following which the school authorities arranged for his urgent transfer to Jorhat Medical College and Hospital (JMCH).

However, doctors at JMCH declared him brought dead.

The sudden demise has cast a pall of gloom over the school community.

The school authorities expressed deep sorrow over the untimely loss and extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, praying for the eternal peace of the departed soul.

The incident has left teachers, parents and students deeply shocked.
