Piyush Hazarika, Ramakanta Deuri and AIUDF’s Siddique Ahmed enter fray

MORIGAON, March 20: Two heavyweight candidates of the BJP for the 52 No Jagiroad constituency and 54 No Morigaon constituency, Piyush Hazarika and Ramakanta Deuri, respectively filed their nomination papers to contest in their constituencies. Earlier, former minister for Water Resources and Information & Public Relations Piyush Hazarika, along with his family members and a large number of supporters, offered prayers at Deusal Mondir before proceeding to Morigaon, where he filed his nomination before the Returning Officer of Jagiroad.

Meanwhile, BJP candidate for the 54 No Morigaon constituency, Ramakanta Deuri, who has received the party ticket for the third consecutive time, filed his nomination before the Returning Officer in Morigaon. On the other hand, the AIUDF candidate for the 53 No Laharighat constituency, Siddique Ahmed, also filed his nomination before the Returning Officer in Laharighat
