Plaque Of Gratitude Presented At Tezpur

Tezpur, Aug 16: The 5 Assam Battalion NCC carried out the hoisting of the tricolour at the office premises of 5 Assam BN NCC at Tezpur on Monday along with the rest of the country. Colonel OP Pandey, the commanding officer of 5 Assam Bn. NCC hoisted the national flag followed by a presentation of a plaque of gratitude to the widow of the martyr. Colonel Pandey presented a plaque of gratitude to Setisara Thapa, wife of Rifle Man Tilak Bahadur Thapa of 8 Assam Rifles who attained martyrdom in Manipur in 1999. The ceremony was attended by the army staff of the battalion along with other officials.
