MORIGAON, Feb 7: Sixteen cyber criminals were arrested in a raid conducted in Laharighat and Moirabari areas of Morigaon district on Tuesday night. The arrests took place at 22 locations under the Laharighat and Moirabari Police Stations.
The arrested individuals were identified as Sirajul Islam, Moklesur Ahmed, Musharraf Ali, Zuber Hussain, Mustafizur Rahman, Sirajul Islam, Ajmal Sheikh, Bulbul Islam, Hussain Ali, Shahrukh Ahmed, Harun Al Rashid, Iqbal Hussain, Nekibur Islam, Hibzur Rahman, Ikramul Haq, and Mustafizur Rahman. They hail from Bowalguri, Sapkati, Bhelouguri, Dewaguri, and Belguri villages in the Laharighat and Moirabari areas.

Sirajul Islam, identified as the mastermind behind these cyber criminals, was previously arrested by Morigaon Police on December 12, 2022, for cyber crimes and was subsequently sent to jail.
