Police seize fake currency notes

BOKAJAN, April 2: The police in Karbi Anglong intercepted Indian Fake Currency Notes (IFCN) while conducting checks on NH 39 under the jurisdiction of Khatkhati Police Station in Karbi Anglong. During their routine inspection, they encountered an LP truck bearing registration number AS 01 JC 3745 traveling from Manipur to Guwahati. Upon a thorough examination, counterfeit currency notes were discovered within the driver’s cabin. Consequently, the driver of the truck, Mahamad Sajid Khan (27), hailing from Manipur, was detained in connection with the incident. Further investigation into the matter is underway.
